New York City, N.Y.C.,
Pretty mean when it wants to be,
Black leather, knee-hole pants,
Can't play no high school dance,
Fuzz tone, hear 'em go,
Hear 'em on the radio,
Misfits, twilight zone,
R-A-M-O-N-E-S, R-A-M-O-N-E-S, RAMONES,
Bad boy rock, bad boy roll,
Gabba gabba, see them go,
C, Jay now hit the gas,
Hear Marky kick some ass,
Go Johnny,go, go, go Tommy o-way-o,
Misfits, twilight zone,
R-A-M-O-N-E-S, R-A-M-O-N-E-S, RAMONES,
Bad boy rock, bad boy roll,
Gabba gabba, see them go,
C, Jay now hit the gas,
Hear Marky kick some ass,
Go Johnny,go, go, go Tommy o-way-o,
Bad boys then, bad boys now,
Good buddies, mau, good buddies, mau,
Good buddies, mau, keep it up,
Rock'n'roll, good music save your soul,
Dee Dee, he left home,
Joey call me the phone.
Bad boys then, bad boys now,
Good buddies, mau, good buddies, mau,
Good buddies, mau, keep it up,
Rock'n'roll, good music save your soul,
Dee Dee, he left home,
Joey call me the phone.

Oh I don't know... hmm... It MIGHT be a tribute to The Ramones, But thats highly unlikely.
heh,in this song Lemmy teaches you to spell RAMONES! R-A-M-O-N-E-S! see,Lemmy is educational! great song!
i love wednesday 13's version of this song!!!!
wow.... sarcasm is lost on some...
didnt lemme try to teach sid to play bass?
doesn't lemmie sing like his on shrooms?
yeh he does.
Lemmy says he loves punk and played this with the ramones. He said he indentifies more with punk fans than metal ones and Motorhead have covered God Save the Queen by the SPs. So I think its highly likely that this is a tribute.
I think FRYEGUY is correct in his interpretation. If you read carefully, you can see that the lyrics contain an anagram of "I would be gay for Alice in Chains, even the dead one".
Great song! Love the raw energy in it and the pounding beat. And ofcoruse: It's a perfect sum-up of the Ramones.
But what does he mean with the "Misfits, twilight zone" part in the ref? I first thought it was a tribute to the Misfits and some band named Twilight Zone, but as far as I'm conserned, there isn't/wasn't any punkband called that
It probably is: Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee. The Ramones band members!
