This is just a great freakin’ song. Super melodic and extremely nostalgic (for me.) Ozzy’s early solo studio albums had a certain feel. Yes, Randy.. but it also carried over to when Jake E. Lee came on board the crazy train. In fact, I believe Jake wrote this song. Again, it’s just a great song.
This song takes all words away from me every time. Beautiful. Dark.
The song has a lot of metaphors for wanting to go to heaven and fear of hell and religion in general. He talks about rebirth and freedom of religion. He also talks about presumably whether God should be loved or feared as well as how we can't question what we don't know about religion.
It’s about vampires. Waiting until it’s dark to come out, burning in sunlight, sleeping in a tomb, and the middle 8 section has the horror music part in it. Also it’s on bark at the moon which has Ozzy as a werewolf on the cover.
