You're No Different Lyrics
How many times can you put me down
Till in your heart you realize
If you choose to criticize
You choose your enemies
Everything that I say and do
In your eyes is always wrong
Tell me where do I belong
In a sick society
You're no different to me
You're no different
No different to me
Look at yourself instead o' looking at me
With accusation in your eyes
Do you want me crucified
For my profanity
Concealing your crimes behind a
Grandeur of lies
Tell me where do I begin
If you think you're without sin
Be the first to cast the stone
You're no different [...]
Living my life in a way
That I choose
You say I should apologize
Is that envy in your eyes
Reflecting jealousy
Tell me the truth and I'll admit
To my guilt
If you'll try to understand
But is that blood that's on your hand
From your democracy
Till in your heart you realize
If you choose to criticize
You choose your enemies
In your eyes is always wrong
Tell me where do I belong
In a sick society
You're no different
No different to me
With accusation in your eyes
Do you want me crucified
For my profanity
Grandeur of lies
Tell me where do I begin
If you think you're without sin
Be the first to cast the stone
That I choose
You say I should apologize
Is that envy in your eyes
Reflecting jealousy
To my guilt
If you'll try to understand
But is that blood that's on your hand
From your democracy

It's about being judged. Back in the 80s, the media and critics accused Ozzy of being a satan worshiper and corrupting the youth of America. They said a ton of hateful crap about him in articles and magazines. Ozzy merely points out that his critics are no different than him. The same critics and politicians that referred to Ozzy's music as devil music were the same ones doing bad things themselves.
My thoughts exaclty. It's actually really sad thinking about. I read Ozzy's biography book, and he seems to be a wonderful guy with gret history. But usually when i listen to this song, i think about how it must have sucked for Ozzy to be so criticized back in the day, and for him to read so many lies about him.

@acidsex Wrong, Bob Daisley and Jake E. Lee wrote the song and it's about Ozzy and his wife Sharon screwing over Jake E.Lee. Look it up

Good lyrics, butI havent heard the song yet so....
I first heard this song in biology class at school. The lyrics are so true. People criticize me for being different, and not thinking the way most people do. This song delivers the same general retort that I give.
This is perhaps one of the most aggressive, meaningwise, of Ozzy's songs. Look at the lyrics - they're a blatant attack on those who'd spit on him, cast him down. 'You're No Different' is perhaps the anthem of the outsider who stands tall. For those of us who choose not to follow the crowd, and who ignore what others think, this song is ours.
I can totally relate to this song.
I enjoy this song very much. One of the many reasons I love Ozzy (and Black Sabbath for that matter) is that he has a talent in replying to his critics in his music, while also not keeping a mean tone or grudge toward them. We should all be so articulate and forgiving...
its about us all even when listening to this song you still have to remember your not innocent ether it strange the point of view of these songs as though they are from a point that is above us all that dosnt exist cuz no ones any better
it's about jealousy i think
Great melody. Great lyrics. But why are the lyrics in caps?
If you are American, you might take the lyrics as meaning "to me, you're no different", but I think he means "you're no different from me".
