Mr. Vain Lyrics

Oh yeah..

Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call him Mr. Vain
Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call me insane

He'd say: I know what I want
And I want it now
I want you cause I'm Mr.Vain
I know what I want and I want it now
I want you cause I'm Mr.Vain

Call me Mr. Raider call me Mr. Wrong
Call me insane call me Mr. Vain
Call me what ya like
As long as you call me time and again
Fell the prensence of the aura
Of the man none to compare
Loveless dying
For a chance just to touch a hand
Or a moment to share
Can't deny the urge thet makes them
Want to lose themselves to the debonair one
Hold me back the simple fact is
That I'm all that and I'm always near
One sexy can't perplex me now
You know whose raw
As if you didn't know before
I know what I want and I want it now
I want you then I want a little more

Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call him Mr. Vain
Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call me insane

Mr. Wrong Mr. Wrong Mr. Raider Hey Hey

Girls are all over the world
They hope and pray and die for men
Like me cause I'm the one
Begotten son that breaks the mold
Get a look at male epitome
Style has never seen
That makes you want to grab and hold
And squeeze real tight
Whose gonna be the one to save
You from yourself
When you wanna take a bite
Please oh baby please
You beg you want to stay
You got to get some caught
Up in the charm that I laid on thick
And now there's nowhere
To run just another fish to fit
On the hook of my line
Yeah i keep many females
Longing for a chance to win my heart
With S-E-X and plenty

Mr. Wrong Mr. Wrong Mr. Raider Hey Hey

Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call him Mr. Vain
Call him Mr. Raider call him Mr. Wrong
Call me insane

Tania Evans described the persona "Mr. Vain" as your typical club player. When I had asked her if the lyrics were a reference to "The Picture of Dorian Gray" Tania replied "Good question." Producer Torsten Fenslau had deejayed at the Frankfurt club called "Dorian Gray" and I wonder if it was a nod to his club residency while describing the narcissistic personality of Oscar Wilde's fictional character.

This song reminds me of my sister..cuz a couple years ago me and my sister and some of her friends were walking down this street, and they all started singing this and they started singing this and then they taught me it. So everytime I hear this I think of her, and that day walking down the street. I love her lots.. :)

i believe this is the plaintive lament of a woman falling helplessly and haplessly to the allure of a glamorous stud. both sides are expressed as the woman expresses the man's beguiling nature and the dude speaks of his triumphant success in the bedroom. one drawback, however, is that this man is so vain that it is damning and sadly will be his downfall one day. "mr wrong/mr raider" = he is the wrong man to raid your bodies...

I don't think she falls for him or buys into him. I think he wants her and she rejects him. She calls him insane because he thinks that his looks can win her heart.

I want to cover this song so bad, i want to skip the old school rap part, but just the chorus and the one verse, i could make this song awesome, and i dont mind telling people cuz i think other could do this song justice, kinda sing it with some attitude, and someone in the backround shouting/screaming Mr. Vaain MR VAAAAIIN!! would be soooo good!

I think this song is a conversation between two characters.

One is a guy who wants to love someone, but only is noticed for his looks and so he is very vain and strives to keep those looks because he is afraid of being alone--he sees his looks as his only thing to offer women, and so he is very vain. "Call me whatever as long as you call me. I'm loveless and dying for a chance to hold someone's hand and share a moment (more than sex)." He thinks that his looks can get him any woman he wants. He says that "one sexy can't perplex me now", meaning the woman isn't going to confuse him by rejecting him. He wants her and more with her, so she should just give in.

On the flip side, the girl in the song is saying that she thinks he is crazy. She isn't swooning for his looks like everyone else (and he hasn't given her any other reason to care). His vanity is driving her away. She calls him Mr. Wrong over and over again.

After she rejects him, he blows it off and says that women all over the world want men like him and that she is going to regret it when she changes her mind and wants him. ("Whose gonna be the one to save you...when you want to take a bite?") He consoles himself saying that he has many women that want him and want to win his heart, and that he didn't mean the things he said before--they were just lines, so forget her. I think he was rejected by the only woman he really, truly wanted and is surprised by the sting of rejection because he has never felt it before. It's a case of sour grapes--he can't have her so he didn't want her in the first place.

This is just my stab at the song meaning. I had never heard the song before today and so I came here to see what it could mean, but no one really commented on the meaning so I signed up for an account here, lol. I agree with ya'll that it is very catchy. It will probably be in my head for at least a week. Anyone have a different opinion or perspective as to what this song could mean?

Btw, the lyrics are a little off. She never says, "Call ME insane." She says, "Call HIM insane." It's funny how one word like that could change the entire meaning of the song.

You cannot not love this song It is just so well written Meaning is clear. I played it for someone. Reminds me of someone I know. :)) he will always be that though . He is still very close to my heart and I will always see him in my mind like that no matter what happens or how old he gets. Still goes out to that real man out there.
