i think that this song kind of represents a romeo and juliet scenario from juliets perspective. she feels she cant live without this guy and she knows she cant go on living half a life without him, but there are people who she is afraid will find out. she is also saying she will surrender and sacrifice everything she is or has to be with him because she knows that their love can survive anything.
