Oh my god, how dense can you people be? They couldn't make it more obvious if they tried - its about being screwed over by their record label. Geez, they very first post here says it! It fels to me like this is about religion. And realizing it isn't for real. They found flaws and errors. People are slaves to religion, but he is leaving "See you later chain pulling man." He is no longer a slave. Read through very carefully with this in mind. Then you will see what I am talking about.

I think this song is actually about two people happening by chance to find themselves in a relationship that was unintended. You get this sense of it being two people when he says "something we BOTH saw". and the lines "took us for a ride, way way off of course" hints at the whole unplanned factor of it, their feelings for eachother just kind of caught them off guard and found them, they weren't looking for them at all. Also, I think the lyrics are "Gotta admit, it got us good. All this time, never got gaffled like that. We made a leap, oh it hurt, trusted you. see you later"-- this makes more sense and sounds more like what he's saying, that the two of them were more hooked by their feelings and couldn't resist it. "Gaffled" means seized or took hold of (aka this feeling they have).
And I think the whole reel us in part is in reference to giving in to the feeling, like when someone's got you hook, line, and sinker... you're smitten and you're saying alright, you got me, now you can have me.

Well, to me this song is about illuminati and the devil. Because of their ignorance they didnt know what was going on, they were just going with the flow. The devil took them for a ride, off of course, meaning he gave them everything they ever wanted.He got them good by doing so, also by telling them things they wanted to hear, & they gave the devil their trust. They never been seized or gaffle like that. The devil has them by the mouth, he can reel them in saying take their soul, thats why they say see you later as in they will see the devil later. They refer to him as the "chain pulling man". In the part where it says (never hurts, but it never) if you listen CLOSELY, they also say "to read before you sign" (p.s you should add that at the end because thats what it says) meaning it never hurts to read before you sign anything. As for them, they didnt read the contract they were offered, so now the devil has their soul, and there is no way out.
