Ya Sunday night before Rob played this song he said, "Does Kalamazoo have an online gaming system? This song's about that." Or something to that effect.
But, wow. That was the absolute best show I have ever seen in my life. The dynamic between Rob and Zach....I don't know if there are words for it, they performed this song like geniuses. This has to be probably the only beautiful song ever made about computers. ha.
this song seems to be about the mundane task of fixing some electrical device burnt out by a shock, but deeper, one would need LSD to understand it.
Truly amazing that such musical genius is used to describe the feelings one gets when he's on his computer.

The way they end this song, where the chords and the whole damn mood of the song change, and he starts singing "Mail off the rebate" is amazing. It's probably the most amazingly awesome thing I've ever heard.
I heard that this song is about an online gamer who killed one of his opponents in real life. This would at least explain the title, Offline P.K. = Offline Player Kill.

Alright ... I saw pinback a week or two ago. Here's what rob crow (my hero) said, "You can take down the government with computers too, you know. That's what this next song is about" Then they started playing this song.
In a live show that I downloaded (3/22/03) he says, "This one goes out to all the online gamers in the hizzouse, cause we play that shit all the time"
