Mission Control Lyrics
mission control, mission control
are you receiving? we've got a problem, in every sense of the word.
come in, mission control.
permission to land, i'm taking her down. thrusters on full.
...mission control
radio silence. ending transmission. someone else here.
if i don't return, remember the code.
forget what you've seen. forget what you heard.
forget what you know.
red light, green light
everything freezing, floating and weightless
no one receiving, abandon your stations
everything freezing, floating and weightless
emergency landing, abandon your stations
mission control, mission control
come in, do you read me? we've got a problem, in every sense of the word.
come in, mission control.
critical damage. monkey's a goner. we're heading for home.
...mission control
radio silence. ending transmission. our friends have returned.
if i don't come back, remember the code.
forget what you've seen. forget what you heard.
forget what you know.
...come in, mission control...

almost too catchy
agreed No Knife have really catchy stuff
I dunno what you guys are talking about. I think this song has some catchy riffs but nothing like some other songs like "Angel Bomb" or "Academy Flight Song". I thought this was a simply understood song with a more significant meaning behind it. The guy is lost and losing his friends and he needs someone to help him find his way back to where he came from. I think in the lines "forget what you've seen, forget what you've heard" he's sort of pleading with the people to ignore the here-say thats maybe been going on. Catchy wasn't really the word that crossed my mind. For a local SD band I think they've been very successful and true to their roots.
great song..if anything i think its repetitive, not catchy...still a good song.
