With eyes of fire
No one can see
The smoke from the sweet grass
Covers me

I am drawn
I am drawn to her
Like a moth to flame
She leads me down
Unbound

(Unbound)

I am lost
I am lost
Has anybody seen me
I am lost

Oh, nothing is forgotten
Only left behind
Wherever I am
She leads me down
Unbound

No borders
No fences
No walls
No borders
No fences
Unbound

Oh, listen for the night chant
Oh, listen for the night chant

Like a moth to flame
She leads me down
(Unbound)
Unbound

No borders
No fences
Unbound
No borders
No fences
Unbound
Unbound
(Unbound)
(Unbound)

""I wanted to convey a spirit of no borders, no fences, without confinement to a reservation. The point is that it's not just a necessity in the Native way of life but in everyone's life." ~ Robbie Robertson I live this song for that intentional meaning, but it can also be used as a love song, and I guess that's what it means for me personally. The same comfort and peace that is supposed to be derived from the land in the song I can see as coming from another person. Either way, it is a very beautiful song.
