Love Is A Long Road Lyrics
There was a girl I knew
She said she cared about me
She tried to make my world
The way she thought it should be
Yeah we were desperate then
To have each other to hold
But love is a long, long road
There were so many times
I would wake up at noon
With my head spinning 'round
I would wait for the moon
And give her one more chance
To try and save my soul
But love is a long, long road
Yeah it was hard to give up
Some things are hard to let go
Some things are never enough
I guess I only can hope
For maybe one more chance
To try and save my soul
But love is a long, long road
She said she cared about me
She tried to make my world
The way she thought it should be
Yeah we were desperate then
To have each other to hold
But love is a long, long road
I would wake up at noon
With my head spinning 'round
I would wait for the moon
And give her one more chance
To try and save my soul
But love is a long, long road
Some things are hard to let go
Some things are never enough
I guess I only can hope
For maybe one more chance
To try and save my soul
But love is a long, long road

It is almost like a Teenagers love. Trying a relationship, messing it up. then finally realizing that love is a long term thing. Love is really a Long Long road!
i can see the teenage love thing...kinda reminds me of a girl i dated, she was real demanding and tryed to change alot about me, it bothered me but for some reason i just rolled over everytime...teenage love, sometimes you trick yourself into thinking theres more there than there really is...its hard to give up but eventually its right
To me, it sounds like a girl/woman was trying to turn the narrator into someone else: "She tried to make me world the way she thought it should be". She wanted to mold, sculpt, transform him into her fantasy image. He could not deal with it anymore. He needed to leave because she refused to accept the real person. She wanted her fantasy, not him.
This song about to go immortal
