My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to half a kingdom Baby tell me why
My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to rule a country Baby you and I
If you were my king
My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to half a kingdom Baby tell me why
My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to rule a country Baby you and I
If you were my king
Little princess in a terrible mess - a kingdom alone but no lovers confess
Dreams of a prince on a tall white horse - runs like a spirit by the castle walls
Gotta steal from the rich - when they don’t know I’m coming
Gotta give to the poor - no time for loving
My oh my, don’t you cry - ‘cause there’s no way I’m staying
I will leave, say bye bye - I’m going my way
Chorus
If you were my king - I would be your queen
If you were my king - I would be your queen
Misery deep in the royal heart - crying at night “why wanna be apart”
Prince, oh prince are you really sincere - that you one day are gonna disappear
Gotta steel from the rich - when they don’t know I’m coming
Gotta give to the poor - no time for loving
My oh my, don’t you cry - but there’s no way I’m staying
I will leave, say bye bye - I’m going my way
My oh my - My oh my
Chorus
If you were my king - I would be your queen
If you were my king - I would be your queen
My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to rule a country Baby you and I
My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye - to rule a country Baby you and I
Dreams of a prince on a tall white horse - runs like a spirit by the castle walls
Gotta give to the poor - no time for loving
My oh my, don’t you cry - ‘cause there’s no way I’m staying
I will leave, say bye bye - I’m going my way
If you were my king - I would be your queen
Prince, oh prince are you really sincere - that you one day are gonna disappear
Gotta give to the poor - no time for loving
My oh my, don’t you cry - but there’s no way I’m staying
I will leave, say bye bye - I’m going my way
If you were my king - I would be your queen

Robin Hood.
I loved this song when i was little
We listened to this song rocking out in my parent's Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme while driving to my HS's junior homecoming dance in September of 1998, lol.
I love this song. Robin Hood, yeah, but still. xD
Always found it a bit of a shame that the Pirate-video was cool, but the song is CLEARLY Robin-Hood-related. For whatever reason - I listened to it a lot while I was raiding Icecrown Citadel (probably because I needed a cheer-up), and now I always see Jaina and Arthas in a totally exaggerated 90's video ^.^
“Prince oh Prince are you really sincere, that you one day arent gonna disappear?” - Now that the man is finally at the same country as the girl, she worries that he will just use her for permanency and leave right afterwards. It’s clear his intentions are to “steal from the rich and give to the poor...” The rich, being a new country with financial benefits and possibly even the girl too. The poor being his family overseas. “Do you wanna say goodbye to have the Kingdom baby tell me why...” - Once he has the countries financial benefits, now able to help his family overseas and sets himself up at the new country - he no longer needs the girl. He used her to gain permanency - “to rule the country" or “have the Kingdom” and now has “no time for lovin.” Has to “leave, say bye bye,” he is going his own way now that he is all set up in the new country.
