Love her voice. This is an awesome song.
It is awesome. Aside from the old man's ass part, i think its pretty straight forward. I feel it has something to do with trying to have this guy ...and feed him paraffin (wax)? doing so, she begins to smell like it. well, i think it really depends on what she means by paraffin and its significance. I doubt she means it literally. it probably is symbolic/an analogy for something else. It may have to do with paraffin being something that is burned. Paraffin is also used in cooking, and also is used as a laxative. if it is the latter, ide say Ruby is quite the potty mouth.
I think the paraffin part is even more »risqué» than your interpretation: I read it as she, literally or not, let him taste her (and taste should not be read as "kiss").

I also think she is not completely satisfied with her partners performance:

If this isn't a song about sodomy, I don't know what is.
@Slothrop77 YEah. She herself said that "paraffin" means cunt juice, but that I think is a red herring. There's a plethora of references to anal sex in her songs (main example "Roses" - also veiled references in "Salt Water Fish", "Hoops", "Pine" and - that "butter over me" song whatrever it's called). So how could we not think that "got me in the eye" means "in the brown eye" ?

I think that this song is much more imaginative that just talking about sex. .. an ass is not only a bottom but also a donkey. This animal was use in the past to stretch boats aside channels. . This would better fit with this song? For the rest of the lyrics this makes me think about this horror movie with a psycho who fills the victim bodies with parafin to conserve them. In the song the psycho is also killed as he smells like parafin too at the end !
