Jump In The Fire Lyrics
Down in the depths of my fiery home
The summons bell will chime
Tempting you and all the earth
To join our sinful kind
There is a job to be done and I'm the one
You people make me do it
Now it is time for your fate and I won't hesitate
to pull you down into this pit
So come on
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!
With hell in my eyes and with death in my veins
The end is closing in
Feeding on the minds of man
And from their souls within
My disciples all shout to search out
And they always shall obey
Follow me now my child, not the meek or the mild
But do just as I say
So come on
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!
Jump by your will or be taken by force
I'll get you either way
Trying to keep the hellfire lit
I'm stalking you as prey
Living your life as me I am you you see
So reach down grab my hand
Walk with me through the land
Come home where you belong
So come on
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!
The summons bell will chime
Tempting you and all the earth
To join our sinful kind
You people make me do it
Now it is time for your fate and I won't hesitate
to pull you down into this pit
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!
The end is closing in
Feeding on the minds of man
And from their souls within
And they always shall obey
Follow me now my child, not the meek or the mild
But do just as I say
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!
I'll get you either way
Trying to keep the hellfire lit
I'm stalking you as prey
So reach down grab my hand
Walk with me through the land
Come home where you belong
Jump in the fire!
So come on
Jump in the fire!

It's written from the devil's point of view as all hell breaks loose on earth and people are hurting and killing each other and the Devil's just encouraging them to "Jump in the Fire"
King Nothing, I see your thoughts on alot of these posts, and I gotta say that you are a good muic fan and you know what you're talking about. Props to you.

@King Nothing not sure if all hell has broken lose on Earth or if it is simply the Devil telling us to join him in death

its from the devil's point of view as he is sending his "minions" or "helpers" to go tempt humans to go down the evil path so that they will be pulled into hell.
When I first heard this on the Tallica Jump In The Studio site, I thought the voice sounded like Rob Halford from Judas Priest. But it turns out it was Jaymz. :O king nothing, looks like you've got it.
Anyone have the lyrics for the original Demo version of Jump In The Fire?
heh you guys are taking these songs too literally... it's not about some dooms day where everyone is running around killing eachother. It's just about people who want something so bad that they resort to sin to get it done. "There is a job to be done and I'm the one, you people make me do it". Basically about how tempting it is to do what's wrong, but it also shows the consequences of sinning. If you sell you betray your soul you belong to him. Seems like a satanic song, but it's actually more religious than anything.
personaly, i think you are wrong. james always means his lyrics literally; a few days i was reading about a journalist who was anylising the meaning of the song "one" and said it was about the dead of james' mother. james replied: "goddamnit, is it so hard to write a song about some guy who walked on land mine?"

its about freakin pyros running around in circles burnin each other and dancing whilst on fire
One of my favorites, I can't believe the amount of cooments though, I think Kill 'em All is under-rated. As for the meaning, I agree with Whiplash.
This song is so sick. They should of used it in the movie Littly Nicky when people were going in the firey gates of hell! Hey, they jumped in the fire, didnt they?
Well, I think Creeping Death shoulda been in the 1998 animated movie The Prince of Egypt. Funny how songs that are seemingly perfect for certin movies don't always make the cut on the soundtracks.

right before the last solo, james screams at the top of his lungs.sounds like he's yelling..."get my grill cheese now!!!!!!" lol i know that's not what is being said but it's still funny
