Come My Way Lyrics
Hundreds come from everywhere
Just to see Your face and touch the Healer's hand
Desperate, I push through the crowd
If I could touch Your clothes
I could feel Your power
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
Please look
And notice me
Just to release my pain
Just to know Your name
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
I'm out of touch, I'm out of reach
I've got the faith to believe
Am I out of touch or out of reach
What would it take for You to walk towards me
I'm out of touch, out of reach
But I'm running towards You
And it's all I believe
Come my way
Come my way, yeah
Come my way
Come my way, yeah
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
Come my way
Just a touch
this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life...I love this band, they have great music and they put so much emotion into this song that his voice just makes me cry.
I do believe this song is about the woman in the Bible who was sick and had so much faith that if she could just touch Jesus, she would be healed. She was trying to push throught to the crowd and finally she touched his cloak and she felt Him heal her. that was when He asked "who touched me?"...this song is sooo beautiful, if you ever get the chance to hear it, take advantage of it! The piano is perfect.
This one's straight out of Matthew 9:20-22 and then again in Luke 8:43-48. I like how it starts off with the Bible story and then migrates to you and I. What I also love about this song is the fact that John sings it:
"I'm out of touch; I'm out of reach I've got the faith to believe, Am I out of touch, or out of reach? what would it take to walk towards me"
as if the person doesn't have the faith or will, while in pain, to get up and go to Jesus, they beg for Jesus to come to them.
Then in the next stanza:
"I'm out of touch; I'm out of reach but I'm running toward you and it's all I believe"
The character realizes they can be healed completely, summoning all their strength, and runs to Jesus for healing!
Great song...
