Ah ah ah ah oo ooo ooo oo ahh
The girls on the beach

On the beach you'll find them there
In the sun and salty air
The girls on the beach
Are all within reach
If you know what to do

How we love to lie around
Girls with tans of golden brown
The girls on the beach
Are all within reach
And one waits there for you
(Girls on the beach)

The sun in her hair
The warmth of the air
On a summer day

As the sun dips out of sight
Couples on the beach at night
The girls on the beach
Are all within reach
And with the boys tonight
(Girls on the beach)

Girls on the beach, girls on the beach
Girls on the beach, girls on the beach

Quite possibly the greatest harmonies on any record you're ever likely to hear... the modulations in the last verse of this song just make me say wow every single time.

This and "Don't Worry Baby" have the most brilliant and mind-blowingly beautiful vocal harmonies you will ever hear. This is just such a magnificent song. You could play it in Nome, Alaska on the coldest darkest day of the year and it would still feel like it's summer.

..."Warmth of the Sun" too, I almost forgot.

As everyone has said here, one of the greatest harmonies they have ever done. While the verses sound eerily similar to "Surfer Girl" the song ends up going on some of the most unusual and brilliant chord changes of their entire catalog. A haunting brilliant song and I love how the lyrics are also imaginative, especially on the chorus when they sing: "The girls on the beach are all within reach, if you know what to do." Another example of Brian Wilson's genius.

all summer long album has better sound than the firsts albums, thats why this song sounds better than surfer girl but also because it has other chord changes. And also great reverb

    My Opinion
( this is my view) the song is sexist for a start, it also objectifies women and is best described through this scripture: For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The Beach Boys are a great band, but its time songs like these were omitted from their setlist ( the same should be done with Kokomo, Calif Girls, and Be True to your School) they are not acceptable for the 21st century.
