Iceberg-I've fallen in love with an
Iceberg-its only the tip of the
Iceberg-I've heard that it's cool
I got class, I got style
But once in a while out on the town
I must go
You'd better wash out your zone
Watch out you stone bone headed woman
Watch out you bone headed man
Iceberg-it's freezin' over Second Avenue
There's not a thing that you can
Iceberg-it's comin' over Second Avenue
You'd better believe there's nothin'
You can do about it
I was an orphan and I couldn't help it
I've been in and out of trouble
Ever since they left me in a basket
On the freeway
It's me that's been doggin' your shadow
It's me that's been a shadowin' your dog
You got me hung up lock and stock and barrel
I'll always be behind you in the fog
So you better not annoy me
Or I'll do somethin' that I might regret
You'd better not annoy me or I'll do
Somethin' that you won't forget in a hurry
And I might be back for some sloppy seconds
You've heard me heavy breathing on the telephone
My word they say that I'm belongin'
In a home for crazy people
But you know I don't belong there
I was an orphan and I couldn't help it
I'd been in and out of trouble
Ever since they left me
In a basket on the freeway
Lie lie lie etc
Die die die etc
Hooray hooray ha ha ha
Hooray ha ha ha
Get down get down get down get down
There's really not a lot that you can do
Lay down lay down lay down lay down
There's really not a lot that you can do
There's really not a lot that you can do
And I might be back for sloppy seconds

I believe this song is meant to be about schizophrenia. Graham Gouldman said the following about How Dare You! (the album in which the song appears) in an interview with Melody Maker:
"It's a strange mixture of songs. There's one about divorce, a song about schizophrenia, a song about wanting to rule the world, the inevitable money song, and an instrumental."
It's pretty obvious that the songs he is referring to are Don't Hang Up, I Wanna Rule the World, Art for Art's Sake, How Dare You, and I can't see any other song on the album that could possibly be about schizophrenia but this one. It becomes at it's most clear with the lines "They say that I'm belonging in a home for crazy people, but you know I don't belong there".
Defo a song about a stalking schitzophrenic rapist. Imho 'How Dare You' was the best album 10cc released. I was 15 when it was released and have been a 10cc fan ever since. They wrote a lot of tracks which today would be seen as 'off limits'. Other tracks which come to mind; Clockwork Creep -the thoughts of a bomb on an aeroplane, Sensitive stuff cosidering the year, with hijackings etc. Oh Effendi! - about arms dealing with an Arabic state, Blackmail- one of my favourites - about a would be blackmailer who f*cks up and makes the object of his blackmail a 'superstar' - complete with a 16! second sustain hold at the end. Headroom (also from How Dare You) - about having a wank. (jerking off for our American cousins) The Hospital song- about 'getting off' on hospital drugs. "I get off on what you give me darling"- could also be sexual reference! The Flying Junk - about a seller of drugs and stolen goods. What always kept me listening was not just the sheer technical prowess of their recordings but the fact that almost all of their lyrics had at least 2 meanings. British double-entendre to the nth! 'Sounds' music paper once described them as "The silent superstars". They were tongue in cheek- "Get back Des, keep it under your Fez- don't give us away in the massage" -Oh Effendi. A reference to an uncircumcised penis being a dead giveaway of their european heritage- cheeky and outrageous - even their name was a reference to the average volume of human ejaculate. Most people only really know of "I'm not in love" and "I'm Mandy Fly Me" - their albums were a totally different thing.
This one is really an R rated one--pop impulses of Graham Goldman mixed with the dementedness of Kevin Godley.
It is about a rapist, IMHO. He stalks the woman, then says he might do something he'll regret. ANd be back for sloppy seconds!!! The creepiest part is "Lay down--there's really not a lot that you can do." Call the police!!!
@hawley5150 I agree. He may be an "equal opportunity" rapist in that he warns men as well as women to watch out.

The "wash out your zone" warning to women could be a warning to get an immediate abortion if they don't want to end up with a kid like the perverted, demented rapist.

"sloppy seconds" has exclusively a sexual connotation. This really can't be parlayed any other way. And heavy breathing on the phone is classic sexual terrorism.

He may even be a bestialist (shadowing your dog). Not a nice person, and the crazy parts of the song like "hooray ha ha ha" are truly disturbing.
