Propagandhi – Firestorm, My Ass Lyrics
|
Dear "Drewsus Christ"...I don't even know where to begin.
1) Your post made no sense. It hovered between a stream of consciousness ramble and an eighth grade internet rant.
2) You successfully avoided responding to a musing by erroneously construing a critique into some kind of diss and then went so far as to try your hand at a couple disses yourself.
3) You fail. Crack your head on the concrete and open up your mind. |

Common Rider – Midnight Passenger Lyrics
|
this is mostly (from what i can tell) an homage to some of the great reggae classics throughout the years
"Israelites" by Desmond Dekker
"54-46 (That's My Number)" by Toots and the Maytals
"The Harder they Come" by Jimmy Cliff
there might be more, i just haven't picked up on them |

NOFX – We Got Two Jealous Agains Lyrics

i'm trying to figure out if that first part is a dig at Youth of Today or if he's saying Youth of Today is good but mixed in with crappy stuff. |

Cheap Sex – Raped by the FCC Lyrics
|
"Its about how the first amendment sucks realy bad lol."
Quite the contrary, it's saying how our first amendment rights are being choked out by overbearing government. If anything, this song is pro-first amendment. And for that matter, why would any rational dissident be against it? |

Agnostic Front – Public Assistance Lyrics

no comments? this is one of the worst "punk" songs in history. and this coming from someone who is a moderate Agnostic Front fan. yeah Roger Miret is latino, but there are still a lot of people on welfare who are working minimum wage trying to make end's meet. |

Modern Life Is War – D.E.A.D.R.A.M.O.N.E.S. Lyrics

I started out like xSHARPx only like this and nothing else by MLIW but after seeing them live I can appreciate all their stuff.
This song is the anthem for the small town iowa punk and his/her "modest impossible dreams"...great line. |

Modern Life Is War – Fuck the Sex Pistols Lyrics
| 16 years ago

haha. heard this for this first time live when MLIW was playing with Bouncing Souls and Lifetime in NYC. now that i'm reading the lyrics i think it's great. MLIW is such a smart, fiery band, i'm proud they're representing Iowa. |

Propagandhi – Firestorm, My Ass Lyrics
|
meh...propagandhi doesn't do much but steal other people's thunder. i mean, i like them and all, but it seems like it's a lot easier to just make fun of bands trying to inspire than actually do it yourself. propagandhi will take digs at nofx, earth crisis, and rancid, but when will they actually write something that isn't just a passing joke? |

Say Anything – The Writhing South Lyrics
|
people, people, there's a fucking lyric sheet in the liner notes. no more yammering about what you "think it might be" because that's not up for debate when they're published by the band/label.
i'm more interested in the thoughts behind the song. for instance, who is he hoping to watch writhe? |

yet another amazing song by Dead to Me, addressing the culture of privelege and its effects on a stagnating society. |

Dead to Me – Don't Lie Lyrics

pretty sure it's just "there's a kid like me" referring to a U.S. soldier caught overseas in the neverending war. anyway, this song is amazing and got me hooked on Dead to Me, one of the most important bands in punk today. |
