Tom Delonge would actually get my vote for worst musician of all time. A dead goat with no hands could play his guitar music after a dustbin came up with it :)
I play the guitar and I am saddened to see these younger guys taking up the guitar with Tom Delonge as their guitar hero. Also, Tom tries to sing but he can't. He sounds like a whiny nerd when he tries to sing. |

I would say the were mainstream rock if they were, but they're not. They are pop.
Also, I never said NOFX were punk because of fast beats, I said it because their songs are political, deep, and they didn't sell out. Yeah Motorhead had fast music too but they're irrelevant in this discussion.
I'm not a punk, and I don't want to be. My favourite genre is progressive rock, not punk. Also a lot of punk sucks (e.g. Rancid). I'm not a punk, but at least I know what punk is, and I don't blindly accept what MTV says.
And yes, punk is anti-globalisation anti-commercialisation of music, so therefore Blink 182 are the opposite of punk, and punk is anti-MTV. |

This song is way better live than on the Joshua Tree. u2elevation made a good point about the Boston video, Bono was saying how experts predict guns will kill 676,000 people in America in the next twenty years. Yes, I agree with U2 how guns are one of the main things I dislike about the your country. |

You think Blink 182 are punk? You think they have the fastest beats? Check out an real punk band, like NOFX, Propaghandi or Anti-Flag are the best ones. Their beats are all way faster than Blink's and they don't write meaningless pop songs. Blink can't be punk. They write about girls and pop stuff like that and they're all over MTV. Punk is anti-MTV. Blink 182 are 100% pop. |

Metallican41 is right, Linkin Park suck ass. they are just as bad, and actually the same as all these nu-metal bands. I play the guitar, and I can play better than Brad Delson. He could not even play the intro to the Guns N' Roses song "Sweet Child O' Mine" when he tried. He makes Tom DeLonge look like a guitar god.
Linkin Park - cannot sing, cannot rap, can't play guitar, bass, drums, and their DJ is just the same as the million others. He can't do anything progressive, inlike people like DJ Radar. Their lyrics are totally cliched and shouting doesn't make it emotional, it makes it stupid.
This song means as much to me as Britney's "Hit Me Baby One More Time". It's just another meaningless radio hit. |
