No offense to any of you or anything but most of you are concerned with labels. its hard to label so and so to be sell outs or teeny boppers even though some of them are completely obvious. from the way i see it, its not who is in the band, who was in the band or any of that kind of shiz. when you hear a song, you dont just hear the guitar or the guy ripping it on the drums..its the lyrical aspect that touches alot of young people and thats how alot of people get through each day is by lyrics and emo songs.
Also...you may be a fan from the get go..but dont start not liking a band because a "prep" or teeny bopper is invading or your musical space. they may like it for different reasons but you like it because you like it. A wise man once said " to thine on self be true" and you guys that are bashing these people are obviously missing somehting because these guys have a lot of lyrical talent. lyrics are the foundation to a great song..and whether you put music and beats to it is your choice...but its the lyrics and the soul and the meaning of the song that come pouring through when you hear it. |
