Poser Punk

I totally know what this is about. Nothing against Blink, I like em, but you're not punk just b/c you wear safety pins and shirts that say "punk princess" or whatever and listen to Blink 182 or Sum 41. I mean, I like them both...but it doesn't make you punk. Even Bad Religion doesn't make you punk, your lifestyle and beliefs do. It's more than a style of music, or clothes. It's an entire subculture and belief system. Why can't people see that??? So, this whole "punk is the new trend" thing is getting old really fast.

I am not punk, and do not try to pretend I am, but I know exactly what this song is saying. It is so funny to see people who were just wearing preppy clothes now wearing supposed "punk" clothes because it is "in."

Punk isn't a dress code! it's an attitude.... some people just don't understand that.
