| David Bowie – Within You Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| One of the best songs ever written. Seriously. Not joking. Sounds sarcastic, but I'm not. It's marvelous. Fan-supra-tastic. | |
| Cold – Goodbye Cruel World Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I think it's about the people (parents, friends) that influence your behavior, attitude, and life-styles. | |
| Cold – Insane Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Now that I re-read and re-heard the song, if you think about it, he's actually, kinda, somewhat "thanking" the drugs for his position. "everyone suffocates", meaning everybody does it. "can you give back to God what brought you here?", which means, how can you make it up to God for doing all this b.s.? "all the plastic people live for me, but their hearts were made for doom" - meaning that this whole thing isn't worth it, because all these people, the "drug-buddies", really don't care about you. Antisocialism may be part of the meaning, but I forgot to mention the drugs. |
|
| Cold – When Ice Burns Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Haven't heard this song yet. Great lyrics, though. I can relate a lot to it. It's basically believing in whatever someone says because you love them and trust them. The whole "I never thought ice could burn" means that he trusted her and never expected her to lie to him. | |
| Deftones – MX Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| "closer to the lung" might just mean shoving his cock into her mouth, deep throat, ramming that shizza. Anyways, you like sex songs? "Stone Cold Bush" by Red Hot Chili Peppers has some great sex references. Check out the live video from SNL. | |
| David Bowie – Everyone Says 'Hi' Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is about someone leaving, and Bowie is trying to convince him/her to come back home. This song can be thought for dedication to the soldiers at Op Iraqi Freedom. | |
| David Bowie – Ashes to Ashes Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is awesome. I'm a big Bowie fan. I liked the A Perfect Circle cover, but it'd be amazing if they did a studio version. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Stone Cold Bush Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It's about a prostitute and their life-style. | |
| Dogwood – Lapchild Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It should said "what a shame to see their blue skies turn grey" | |
| t.A.T.u. – All The Things She Said Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Sounds like pussy juice: "Wanna fly her away where the sun and rain Come in over my face, wash away all the shame" |
|
| t.A.T.u. – All The Things She Said Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Sorry, if you are a girl and you've tasted the love-rug, you're a lesbian. Regardless. And if you're a guy and you've taste the sperm-stem, you're a fag. Regardless. No ifs, ands, or buts. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Tristessa Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| "Tristessa" means "sadness" in spanish. No idea what the song is about, though. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Bodies Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think it's a metaphor on love and life using clams. Pretty raw song. Just thinking about it makes sense. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – I Like Dirt Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
"The earth is made of dirt and wood And I’d be water if I could" Refering to bisexuality? |
|
| Tool – Schism Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is about sex. How he knows that their "parts" once fit, made a perfect match, but they've fallen apart. The interest in eachother has been lost. The dangers of second guess probably means finding someone else. | |
| Papa Roach – Decompression Period (AA) Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| PapaRoacher can sound like a real stuck-up bitch at times. On his behalf, I am embarrassed for all us. He is rude and unsettling, gives me diarreha with his ego and "right" answers. | |
| Orgy – Opticon Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Opticon is about the way Orgy dresses, their style and how people might jump to conclusions about how they dress (mainly their sexuality). | |
| Bloodhound Gang – I Hope You Die Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I agree. I wanna play it to my worst enemy, and possibly want him to act out some of the scenary it describes. Ok... all of the scenary. |
|
| The Smashing Pumpkins – The Everlasting Gaze Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Wait, scratch that last msg, actually I've heard a better intepretation online somewhere saying this: it's about those who have turned their back on Corgan letting them know "you know i'm not dead." | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Venice Queen Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| About some old lady named Gloria that died. Possibly a relative. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – The Everlasting Gaze Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I agree. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Not too sure, cuz the lyrics are really obscure, but it could be about a troubled person opening up to another. (This is the last track of the Batman/Robin soundtrack). It's a really slow version of "The End is The Beginning is The End". The lyrics are similar in meaning, but they are a little different. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – The End Is the Beginning Is the End Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Actually, this song could be about Batman. It's about somebody not accepted into society, but only one person got through to him. He has a hidden identity, but he will reveal himself to this person. He's different from everybody else. If anybody wants me to explain this word for word, I would. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Blue Skies Bring Tears Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| All I know is that the line: "blue skies bring tears" means that all he wants is clarity. Being part of MACHINA (their last album), Corgan was unsure of the band's way. He wondered how things would turn out. Clarity. | |
| Cold – Bizarre Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure it's about drugs. This is a demo out-take of 13 Ways (along with "Ghost In Here"). The new song hasn't been properly titled yet. It's known as "Kurt" so far. | |
| Cold – Sick Of Man Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| "Gave all the vampires back to God that day": all the "vampires" are the waste-of-organic-material people leaving him (his father). | |
| Cold – Strip Her Down Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Ya, I understand what you mean DeathRockBoy. Sounds like a pissed off two year old. | |
| Cold – The Switch Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
-- sorry it cut my message in half -- Ok, take this couple, they are in a fight, the man is pissed off as hell. But he's willing to put away his anger to have sex. So when he says "all the pain is nearly dead", he's just holding back his anger for his sexual urges. |
|
| Cold – The Switch Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
It doesn't say anything about that kind of stuff. When it says: "everything is so abused". He's talking about his relationship, because it's becoming nothing but sex. "all the pain is nearly dead" |
|
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dosed Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Definately my favorite song from By The Way. This song is about losing the closest person to you and having no remorse about the death, because you spent the best times with her. "What am I supposed to do Take it away I never had it anyway Take it away and everything will be okay " "Show love with no remorse and Climb on to your seahorse and This ride is right on corse " These two basically say that it was her time, that he doesn't regret anything. Simply, one of the best songs I've ever heard, lyrically and musically. |
|
| System of a Down – Kill Me Now Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I downloaded this song before, I recognize the lyrics, the artist was "Fred Durst and Orgy". | |
| Eminem – Without Me Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I just think anarchy is a homo. That's why he/she's contractdicting everything that has to do with homosexuals. Let Eminem bash who he wants. Homosexuals deserve it. | |
| David Bowie – Slip Away Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is about some old British show called "The Uncle Floyd Show". I guess Bowie loved the show as a child. | |
| Natalie Imbruglia – Smoke Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It's about her dad smoking, getting second-hand smoke. Him endangering everybody around him with it. Maybe it's about lung cancer, maybe not that far. All I know he's down and drowned by the smoke in the end, so I don't know. I love her too. | |
| Papa Roach – Walking Thru Barbed Wire Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I love this song. The new version is a hell lot better. The guitars are awesome. | |
| Papa Roach – Naked in Front of the Computer (Faith No More cover) Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Rare as hell track. I gave up looking for it and just burnt the damn CD (great CD, I would buy it if I wasnt poor). | |
| Papa Roach – 829 Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I agree. They are a very kick ass band. Their music has content and it's catchy and it's hard and sometimes fast-paced. I like them alot since Infest. | |
| System of a Down – ChupaCabra Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| After being raised in a Cuban/Ecuadorian family (amazingly, I'm white as hell) in Miami, where we are populated with immigrants, I'm almost positive it's "cabra" not "capra". I'm pretty sure "capra" isn't even a real word. | |
| Lagwagon – Bring On The Dancing Horses Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
This is a cover song from Echo And The Bunnymen. Don't ask me, I've never heard of them either. I think they are Brazilian. No idea what the meaning of the song is, but "messiah" is meant as "liberator" and "the dancing horses" are "headless", so I'm guessing it's about finding a new direction. |
|
| Lagwagon – Jimmy Johnson Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
The rest of the lyrics are here: "Jimmy Johnson" I remember well I'm holding him down Silent under to his torture, tortures me now Pounding the mold Force the odd, size peace Why did they put Jimmy Johnson In a prison, didn't belong, in some new school he might find others just like him Obviously he's retarded Look at your kids, look at what they see Focus on an easy target, torment the freak One golden rule Children are cruel No one here's more Jimmy Johnson but where the kids are rotten Jimmy make us proud Jimmy Johnson, our mother and only son So sorry, please forgive us for all that we done, we thought it would be best for you if you could coexist We had to put you to the test ------------- The song is about picking on the outcast and regreting it later. |
|
| Cold – Insane Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think it's about being antisocial. Not too sure though... | |
| Cold – Give Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think it was officially said before, but it's about giving and never recieving. | |
| Cold – Send In The Clowns Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Scooter says exactly what this song is about in the lyrics: "I'm talking about the ever changing winds of fame ". The "clowns" are those one-hit-wonder bands who experience the "winds of fame", which blows them away after a while. "We took the world to heal the disgrace, now everything burns fine" - After all these bands do their little thing, and sellout, they will still stand. "Never ever changed our ways", saying they never sold-out. |
|
| Cold – She Said Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I think it's about being led-on: "Her destinations unknown". "All this talkin' Where's it goin' Take the needle Rewind the show" |
|
| Cold – Superstar Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Obviously this song is about superstars, celebrities and rockstars. In this song Santa Clause and Easter Bunny are "superstars", we think we know them, but we actually don't. "won't you take it off, and shoot it up, and show me how, ya used to fly. " It's asking from the eyes of the admirer, how he wants to be like the superstar. |
|
| Dogwood – The Battle Of Them Vs. Them Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| The casualties of war. | |
| Dogwood – Patriotic Pride Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
About the end of the world. "will be nothing compared to the light that will shine on the day." The day Christians have been preparing for: "Look what I said would happen came true." |
|
| Dogwood – A Hope Unseen Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| A song paraphrasing Romans 8, a passage from the Holy Bible. | |
| Dogwood – In The Line Of Fire Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| A pro-life, anti-abortion song. | |
| Dogwood – The Rise And Fall Of Ivan And Belinda Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| About a couple whose lives get torn apart by drugs. | |
