@[Lavventura:43751] Yeah, I agree that there's definitely a shape-shifting, age-driven duality going from the first part ("...But I never met a girl with all her own teeth") to the 2nd part ("sophisticated lady....you've got class....love technique"). That said, I never understood the bleating sheep at the end. Unless, maybe it's a comment on all this lustful foolishness. |

The theme seems pretty basic from a superficial social/sexual perspective, but in my opinion, it's more universal emotionally.
It's about taking the plunge in a sustained, determined, rational fashion ('I'm walking not running; not chasing, ...not racing") rather than just accepting a beckoning ("I'm falling";...you got me") but frustrating ("I'm cooking; ...I'm wailing") status quo. he's keeping at it "by sheer persistence" and accomplishing his goal in the face of overwhelming negative vibes ("...feel pathetic", "...no muscle", "...don't get no answer"). Onward, he will go, and so do we. Although I have never been a patient, confident person, it was this through approach that I pursued & won the love of my life in addition to other spiritual pursuits. Don't give up in pursuit of your truth, love, dream. |
