It's about a queer person. It's about fighting with homosexual feelings. It's about the depression brought to you by your homosexuality on the heterosexual world. Morrissey is also a queer person. He has always been vague about his sexuality. He identifies himself as "humasexual" and this song is another great example of the inspiration coming to him from his homosexualiy. Homosexuals had always been one of the centers of hate crime. Many Christian/Muslim/Jew etc murdered homosexual people because of their sexuality. Christians want to kill this person because of this person is unique and not ordinary basically. Because their belief told them to do so. So Morrissey suggest this person to run away from them and he repeats "You're just like, you're just like...". |

Heterosexuals (not all of them of course) are the worst really. This song is gay. He said in his biography that his first relationship is with a man at age 35 and this album released when he is 34-35 year old. The Smiths is gay. Morrissey is gay. Get over it. |
