| They used “shoo shoo” cause it’s pronounced like “chuchu” (chayote). In Brazilian Portuguese couples use “chuchu” to call each other in a loving way. I believe all the rest of the lyrics are clear. In the original version the song is called “Ela é minha menina” (She’s my girl). The translation wasn’t literal. Maybe to sound better. Maybe cause they were extremely irreverent. Maybe due to both. | |
