This song seems to be telling the story of a man who's so popular that everyone likes him. However, things never go any further than that. Nobody loves him. |

@[ChubbyBaby:21293] you're spot on, but there's one thing I'd like to add. The vinyl version of the album comes with an additional track on side four, called "Flatline". This track is just 3 minutes of a heart monitor beeping, before it flatlines. I believe that this is meant to confirm that Steven has died. Since Alice's next album isn't a concept album, and since he's getting old and probably doesn't have that many albums left in him, I think that the Welcome 2 My Nightmare album may be the last we'll ever see of Steven, and that it ends his story arch. All that's left is to connect the pieces scattered throughout Welcome To My Nightmare, Goes To Hell, Hey Stoopid, The Last Temptation, Along Came A Spider, and Welcome 2 My Nightmare and figure out how it all fits together. |

| 10cc – Survivor Lyrics

This song's got a male protagonist and a female protagonist. They used to be together, but they've broken up. However, the guy still wants to be with her. I wants to convince her that things will work, but she just doesn't want to listen and keeps on moving to different places to get away from him. But, he knows he can make it work, so he keeps chasing after her.
This song doesn't get nearly enough attention. It's the best song on Ten Out Of 10, and one of my favorite 10cc songs in general. It's the perfect closer to the album, and it unfortunately always seems to get overlooked and forgotten. But it's great, especially the amazing guitar solo at the end. |

So, somebody changed the lyrics, and now they're wrong. Looks like I'll have to explain some stuff. The first lyric that's wrong is "when everything was outside". Damon very clearly doesn't sing "was" and if you look at the art book that comes with the deluxe vinyl version of the album, some of the lyrics from this song are on one page. It shows that the correct lyric is "when everything WALTZED outside". The second lyric that's wrong is "and to find real amends, I'm through the echo chambers". How the fuck does that make any sense at all? Damon clearly sings "and to find real amends, GO through the echo chambers", which also makes a whole lot more sense. Now, I'm going to change the lyrics back to their correct form, but please remember for future reference that just because some other lyrics site lists the song's lyrics as being different doesn't mean that site is correct. |

| Gorillaz – We Got the Power Lyrics

The song is meant as a positive ending to the darkness of the Humanz album, telling us that no matter what happens, we always have the power to put aside our differences to help make things better. Proven by Damon singing the song with Noel Gallagher, his big rival during the 90s. |

This song was written very late in the recording of the Humanz album. Damon wrote the song as sort of a commentary on what he thought a Donald Trump presidency would be like. Overall, aside from the "Scarecrows from the Far East" "building walls like unicorns", and "chemtrails" lines, this song isn't that blatantly anti-trump. |

| 10cc – Don't Hang Up Lyrics

This is a song about a man desperately wanting to get back together with his ex-wife. He's calling her, but she doesn't want to speak with him, so he can only beg her not to hang up. I assume the middle section is describing how they came to be divorced.
This song is incredibly sad, and Godley's vocals portray the desperation of the main character so well. It's the perfect song to bring an end to that era of 10cc. |

| 10cc – Welcome To The World Lyrics

"We're still delivering ten thousand souls a day and disproportionately packing them away"
"We're only humanoid there's nothing we can do
You must do something or we'll all go up in smoke
We'd like to help but we're afraid of losing votes"
"They never listen to you, they never listen to your cries"
"One thousand congressmen assemble every day
They'll send us packing on a dreadlock holiday"
"They'll keep on talking and wasting precious time"
This song definitely seems to be an attack on the government. They always care about doing what's politically correct, even if it isn't the right choice. They care more about themselves and their own interests than what's best for their country. Every person to them is just another soul to disproportionately pack away, another pawn in their game. |

"'Alone in the Universe' was inspired by an article I read about the Voyager 1 probe leaving the solar system, becoming the first man-made object to enter interstellar space. It tickled me thinking about that. I mean, how lonely can you get? I sort of turned it into a missing-somebody type of deal like Voyager 1 was missing Voyager 2, so I turned it into people."

The album Secret Messages was originally supposed to be a double LP, and this is one of the tracks that was removed from it when it was cut down to a single LP. The album was supposed to be the last ELO album, though. And this song, which was written by Jeff Lynne about leaving his hometown of Birmingham, was supposed to be the album's closer. It would've been a great finale to the band's career. |

| Ween – Slow Down Boy Lyrics

While it could very well be about a gay relationship, I'm not sure if that's the case. The meaning I get from these lyrics doesn't really seem to imply romance. I really think the song could just as easily be about a close friendship (Dean and Gene's, perhaps?), or even the relationship between a father and a son. Just because both subjects in the song are male and the song talks about love, doesn't necassarily mean it's about romantic love. |

This song is about the breakup of Ween, the band which Aaron was the lead singer for. The lyrics seem to be talking about a concert in Vancouver where Aaron had a meltdown on stage and the other band members left him alone up there. That concert is what many consider to be the start of Ween's inevitable breakup. Glad they got back together though! |

A decent song. It's got a pretty great guitar solo, but the Craters of the Sac version is a bit too drawn out, making it come off as boring. The condensed version on Shinola's much better. Also, the meaning is pretty obvious, considering the entire song is one line repeated over and over. |
