| Outside of what was going on in the writer(s)'s mind, and those working with him/her, this song is nothing more than pure superficial, parisological, dribble (no matter how beautiful it sounds on the surface in light of the voices and arrangement). The almost haunting nature of it is designed to elicit emotions of pining and loss and to create a false air of emotional depth in the so-called "letting go" process. It is just one more song, amongst millions, that pertain to broken relationships... reinforcing the notion that it is a "natural" part of our experience to have to go through one failed relationship after another. The song is beautifully sung and produced but it is pure garbage on a psychic-spiritual level. | |

If you are so led, you will "feel alright" for a season, even an extended one perhaps, but hell is to come. (flying is another popular occult theme/symbol; it points to both sexual release and, more importantly, the perceived freedom, liberation, and exhilaration that comes for a season when one is given over to the 'spirit of the party' that 'comes alive' in darkness -- hell serves to permanently fix that delusion... a very fearful thought indeed). |

The above poster (Matthew...) was right... the meaning is as follows: I've been alive forever --- (Satan, with a God-complex, wants to be seen as eternal and not created) And I wrote the very first song --- (from antiquity he claims to have written the first song) I put the words and the melodies together I am music and I write the songs --- (Notice, "I AM" -- this is a popular ploy used in music, concerts, etc. to take the place of the (Triune) Jehovah God -- Satan is saying that as the alleged self-existent one, in the stead of God, he is music and he writes these songs that corrupt the masses) I write the songs that make the whole world sing --- (the secular world follows his musical lead) I write the songs of love and special things --- (not true love but Satan's false concept of love) I write the songs that make the young girls cry --- (ever see the images of girls crying over Barry, The Beatles, One Direction, etc. -- he causes lust, idolatry, pining, jealousy, envy, and other ill-passions to arise via his music) I write the songs, I write the songs --- (He is telling you twice here, for emphasis, how much more do you need to hear?) My home lies deep within you --- (For the Christian, Christ is within them -- but Satan and the passions he stirs up from mankind's own indwelling sin is deep within the unbeliever) And I've got my own place in your soul --- (Get it? | It appears to be a song about lovers finding "heaven" on the rooftop (take that as you will). However, on a much deeper and more sinister level, going up the ladder (typifying the spine, starting at the so-called lower "chakra") to the roof (the upper "chakra") represents the demonic concept of "kundalini awakening" wherein one supposedly becomes awakened, enlightened, or illuminated (hence, "illuminate the night" verse) by having this demonic coiled/serpent energy rise from the sanctum bone to the fontanelle and bursting forth with a fountain of enlightenment (aka advanced stages of demon possession); bringing them 'out of the darkness' and closer to (their deceived conception of) heaven. They will then supposedly be free (typified by running across the sky, which also has astrological ramifications). One says to the other that they "will try and guide" them (false prophets, teachers, or gurus), to lead them to this (false) experience that purports to bring about "better times and brighter days" (which is a lie as is evidenced here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kundalini_syndrome and on other sites discussing the harmful effects of kundalini demonism). The words "Don't be afraid - Go up the ladder to the roof where we can see heaven much better / be oh closer to heaven" are repeated to distract from these real harms and ills. Also, in this promised (but illusory) state of non-existential bliss, 'all bad memories' (and everything else) is said to "all fade away" so long as you "come up the ladder (spine / chakrahs) to the roof (fontanelle near the highest so-called chakrah, the "little fountain" -which is what fontanelle means -- at the top of one's head... hence the "fountain of loveliness" portion). Consider this Satan's lying promise to all smart enough to see the true meaning but dumb enough to believe the lie. | |
