Parkway Drive – Idols and Anchors Lyrics 12 years ago
Anchors are those people you see on the news. They are the ones who talk about stuff from the news room.

Idols we all know are people that are broadcasted as role models, or what people might consider heros.

"Your heros have fallen" - the role models you look up to have failed to be good examples.

"Security has left you treading waters" - people that follow the common 'role model'are insecure and follow what they see just to feel normal.

"Now taste the fear.Taste the uncertainty. What will you dowhen there's nothing left for you to cling to?What will you dowith your one last breath?Thrive in your emptiness." - people become what is popular, but since the image of what's popular changes, the people who were used to feeling on top because they are like their idols will have nothing when their idols aren't in the spotlight anymore.

"Burn all you love. There's no hope for the weak. Our heroes have died." - people will follow anything. Once a trend they partook in becomes old, they suddenly hate the old tren. They have to burn or hate what they did there's no hope for those who follow idols that become a bad image. They will become that, because they aren't strong enough to handle being an individual. The pure image the models once portrayed is dead.

"Face to face with the abyss. One by one they fall awayand wont be missed. Can you hear it?Can you hear the sound? As our broken idolscome crashing down." The fall of a celebrity is inevitable. And once an idol falls, they aren't remebered. People act like they are glad they are gone. Idols are still idols when they are crashing down. Its obvious they are crashing. You can hear it in news and media
