| Kasabian – La Fee Verte Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song, as mentioned by others before, id about the effects absinthe can have on you. It has a feeling of escapism, disconnecting from this world and simply dying in the end. It is also their tribute to some- Reference of Lucy, as in The Beatles' song 'Lucy With A Sky Full Of Diamonds', along with the psychedelic feel. And then referring to Dalí, which happens to be Mr. Sergio Pizzorno's favourite cartoon character (or comedian? ). | |

| I don't know how many of you people know it, but Mr. Sergio Pizzorno thinks of music as his religion. It gives him pleasure which is what simply what a whore does. So I don't mind if it is, 'music is my whore'. This song also describes Kasabian. What and who they are and ehy they do what they are doing. | |

| This song talks about how people use the system to get their work done and talks leading a heretical life to escape from this cruelty of this world | |

Simply said, this song is about a heartbreak and how the artist describes his feeling about his lover. The first two lines talks about the drinking problems some face during a heartbreak. He's trying to convince himself by saying, 'take it easy on yourself'. Next he describes how badly he wants her to be with him. 'Landlord kicks the door' (presumably, to close it.). Then there's the next line, which I feel should be, 'place the chair and stop that whore.' This again describes about trying to not let her go. The next stanza is a bit sarcastic. Mostly people tell their close-bys that they're happy with the break up, but they're indeed sad. He then tells her to come to ger senses and realize that. He says he wants to end this argument and forget about it, which clears the line, 'we can forget about the jungle on the floor', i.e., the mess they have created. Then he talks about how he still has 'warmth' for this lover who hates him now. Pretty much a heart felt composition by Mr. Sergio Pizzorno. I used some of the lyrics while chatting with my love interest with whom I had an argument. Worked for me. It has been some time since someone last commented. This may go unnoticed, but well, I love Kasabian and look forward to decipher their (somewhat) complicated lyrics. |
