this song to me is about someone you love "over and over" even though the relationship is toxic. for me, it was a mentally, physically abusive husband, I loved him and kept falling in love with him ever since I was 14. this song always makes me think about him . trying to get over someone but feeling dead so you go back. but I can also see it as him singing to the drugs he was addicted to. three days grace songs can be interpreted in anyway and that's what makes them great |

alright, heres how i spin this beautiful song i am a self harmer (im in recovery) and to me its about my struggle to stop the way i see it as Enemy, familiar friend (i hate it but its like my razor is my best friend) My beginning and my end. (it is so deep in who i am) Knowing truth, whispering lies (i know the truth that it doesnt help but i say it does) And it hurts again. (the internal guilt hurts again) What I fear and what I've tried, (all the things ive tried to fix myself, the way i scare myself) Words I say and what I hide. (the things i say, to hide my cutting, burning and starving) All the pain, I want it to end i want to stop, i want it all to end) But I want it again. (but yet i long for it all again) And it finds me The fight inside is coursing through my veins. (no matter where i hide myself, it finds a way again) And it's raging The fight inside is breaking me again. (my urges continue to destroy me) I'm still the same, pursuing pain.
