| Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I think this song is about the confusing sociopolitical landscape of Southeastern Bulgaria. These are the "blurred lines". The dance floor mating calls are metaphors, complex ones that I can't even begin to decipher. | |

This song seems to be critical of pessimism and fear-mongering. -- Hold on, the worst is yet to come Save your money for hired guns Hold strong, when everything you loved is gone Slow down, stop living in the shadow of a helicopter - I think he's being ironic in the first 3 lines of the chorus. A satire of fear-mongers. And the last line is on the level, essentially saying, "Chill out, you don't actually live in the shadow of a helicopter." -- Line em' up, on the wall, coming out with their hands up Give em' all the chair Let it burn, let it fall, let the end of the world come Who's left to care? - This verse also seems to be ironic, criticizing the eager acceptance of violence as a solution to problems. -- So, let's light another match, stop living in the past Where nobody can hear me now Blow the lock off the cage, watch the children come of age When their parents stop to take a bow - This verse is simply encouraging optimism for the future. |
