@[ncc74656m:3184] my oh my, just mean things you say. "Release the hounds of MRA!!" MRA are a bunch of whiny morons that think there's some vast feminist conspiracy against them. But you are free to have your own opinion of me, afterall who would know me better than a total stranger on the internet? "she needs a friend, not a lover." So you're saying she wants a friend? Hmmm. Ok. |

@[ncc74656m:3177] Awww, that's sweet, thanks! But do tell, what is your interpretation? Easy to criticize others' And btw, I'm actually a huge fan of Robyn. |

| Does NOT necessarily have to do with drugs. I don't see any lyric that suggests it. Gambling, yes. Whether metaphorically or literally, I don't know. | |

| Yeah, like many have said. This song is about a man's choices and his past catching up to him. | |

Psh, good god there's some dumb interpretations here. It's more or less some break up that happened, and the person in the song is obsessed with getting them back, but that person is gone, or resisting. Feelings of anger at that person are extreme. And "What you want and what you need, don't mean a FUCK to me" plus "If I could I'd stick the knife in" followed by "This is my love for you." That's NOT fucking love. If you loved someone, you'd consider their feelings and let them go. |

| "deep dark HILLS" is probably correct, but I'm 99% sure it's also a double entendre and hearing "deep dark HELLS" was something the writer had in mind as a secondary connotation. | |

You pretty much nailed it for me. Turning thirty was especially pivotal for me. Career, responsibility, independence, sacrificing health, all things that stole the FEELING of youth, that feeling of "something pure." It's like the movie, Star Trek Generations, if you will, where Dr. Soran gets sucked into The Nexus and experiences eternal bliss, but is beamed out by the Enterprise. He spends his whole life trying to get back, even altering the path of the Nexus ribbon by imploding stars, destroying populated planets in the process, just to change it's course towards him Ok that was pretty extreme analogy, haha. But that's how I see this song. Trying to get back to that sense of innocence or feeling of youth. Ironically, exercise and especially running (as is the one of the main imageries in The Wilderness Downtown) helps a lot. Damn powerful song. |

This song is about guys being put into the friendzone. Any dude listening to this: DON'T TAKE HER ADVICE. On hooking up: I know what's on your mind There will be time for that too If you hang with me She's basically saying she wants a best friend, but there's NO guarantee she's putting out. This is exactly how you get friendzoned, dudes. Ya, there's a chance she might become your girlfriend but it's SMALL, on top of that, you're giving her all of the control. Hang With Me, and maaaaybe I'll hook up with you. But probably not. |
