I definitely see how this relates to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. However we all relate to music differently and it's why we listen. I can almost see a kid or a guy who is probably not the "coolest" among his peers having a crush on a popular chick. They meet up at a party and he hooks up with her. She doesn't remember anything because she was too drunk and doesn't remember anything. The word maybe got out - hence the pictures that she doesn't remember. It didn't come from him because he doesn't have transportation - or drive or agenda. After talking to her after the incident she acts like she doesn't know him. She turns away instead and the guy doesn't know what he did wrong. He doesn't know why he should deserve this kind of resentment. You crawled into my heart and now you're ignoring me. "it's a surprise you haven't caught on yet it's nothing personal you're an embarassment." I can picture the girl literally saying this to him. As if he were quoting. Telling him that he's nobody and he should forget about the whole thing. Obviously he doesn't want to be cut out. He wants to know her. He wants to know who she really is as a person as he promises his love. The "best accommodation." |
