| Billy Talent – Red Flag Lyrics

I feel this song is talking about modern social justice culture and how it's turning into a bastardized version of Marxism used to attack the "privileged"
"Cast of the crutch that kills the pain"
This is talking about how groups will use institutions to make things easier (ie. Affirmative action)
"The red flag waving never meant the same"
The red flag of revolution has turned into a joke recently.
"This kids of tomorrow don't need today when they live in the sins of yesterday"
This line is talking about how things like slavery and gender roles are being used to keep ppl fighting. How can we expect our kids to change the future when all we do is dwell on the past?
From here on out the song just repeats itself and/or continues to talk about starting a real revolution by educating the next generation. The overall theme is that we need to teach our kids to give up their differences and quit this dependancy on the government, only then can they be free. |

This is just a song to set the stage for album. The rest of the album is a wake up call, pointing out the sad state of our reality. He's basically saying wake up and listen to what I have to say |

This song is the last in the album for a reason, it's telling us to take what we learned from the album's reality check to get off our asses and make reasonable change that can stop the coming apocalypse. |

This song brings to mind America and the west in general. We have the right who cling to the good ol days something they will never have again. While the left cling to their dogmatic, utopian progressivism which will also never work. Neither side is willing to let go... |

Idk, if this is particularly addressing one political faction because it lacks any real references. To me it seems to be referring to karmaic justice within political factions. For example those who advocate for hate speech laws, they think they're just and "on the right side of history" right up until their own hate speech laws land them in jail alongside the opponents they seeked to destroy. |

Due to Metallica's affiliation with anti government sentiments. I feel this song is about politicians who think that they are going to save the world with their idealistic ideologies. |

I feel as though this song is about a guy who doesn't trust women and doesn't want anything to do with them. But society is trying to alter his opinion by ridiculing him and trying to force him to be like the rest of society.
The first verse is talking about how he is pulling the influence of a broken relationship out of his mind.
While the second verse is talking about how the guys who try to act like having a gf/wife makes for a better life.
The final verse is about the negativity in his heart and how he worries he will either give into society or that his heart will grow cold |

| Disturbed – Stupify Lyrics

This is a song about society, how we factiously fight senseless wars (rich vs. poor) (left vs. right) and how those who seperate themselves from the wars are outcasts. These said outcasts are left to wonder and end up fighting to stay unique, which is ironic because that is what they are trying to avoid; fighting. |
