i agree with you, but i think the catalyst fits better with your doomsday description. imo this song is about an inner struggle, like when they say "We say yeah with fists flying up in the air", i think "air" is the fight in his mind, "What was left when that fire was gone,", its like a fight between good and evil, or between two universal forces, I felt that while viewing the video, you know the blue and red, or maybe its the other way around "I thought it felt right but that right was wrong"... When the "fight" ends,("It's hard to let you go") he was holding to something "i haven't got", he is "picking up the pieces, now where to begin ,The hardest part of ending is starting again..." moving on ...waiting for the end to come, because "this" was never meant to last".its the end of a cycle, the end is the beggining. The "fire" here is good, its like in the "resistance" from muse "let our hearts ignite"-"it could be wrong, it could be wrong...but i should had been right"... "must erase it fast"- "Until we dead it, forget it let it all disappear". we are the resistance lol. does this make any sense to you?lol |
