if you knew anything about Lifehouse, then you would know that this song is written about God. Just like Collective Soul, both the writers are christians and alot of thier songs have religious meanings in them. You have to know when to call a spade a spade. I'm not a Christian, but I am Gay and it's easy to re-interped a song that doesn't mention a girl or say her or him to fit my view of it. But this song came straight out of the Bible. Where else has anyone heard the phrase about walking on water. Only one person I know of. |

I read that Paul wrote the song about an old movie about two soldiers. Male soldiers ,who fought togather and were secertly in love. the one dies on the battle field in the other's arms. And before you rag on me. I'm a huge Beatle Fan! listen to it again. " always looking for ways to love you, never failing to fight at your side.----from the intermost secerts we hide" " long live all us crazy soldiers"
They made a American movie called Wings in 29. the two guys weren't gay , but they loved each other and the death scene was heartbreaking and quite shocking for the time. |

John started the band and Yes he was the leader, your just not following alone. turn your caps lock off and get back with the program. There's been over 5 movies made about John Lennon and today 11/29/2010 , he's on the cover of LIFE ! I love Paul and wish him a long life, but I guarantee he won't ever get as much media attention or Statues ,Parks, Memorials , when he's gone as John has. I still think Ringo's my favorite, but then I play the Drums! |

same thing with Collective Soul. Lifehouse and Collective Soul's music is a lot alike.
I get the Religious meanings in a lot of their music, and Yes it sucks, because I only download music and everything is on i pod. I'm 55, and miss the days when you had albums you could read about your Bands and Knew their names. When I got the Religious meanings to Lifehouse's music, I actually went to their web-site to read their Bios. The bios only talk about where and when their performing. Very disappointing. I have three of their Cd's ( on i pod of course ,and didn't even know how many where in the band. I can tell you the names of all of the /Beatles/ rolling stones/ who ect... and their birthdays. Yeah , things have change! For the better? |

Lifehouse is a lot like Collective Soul. CS has a lot of songs that have religious meanings to them , but because the song writer doesn't say God or Jesus in the song , a lot of people seem to think their singing to a girl. but notice that the writer doesn't say she or girl in the song either. Either way it's beautiful music. |

Persuasion of you, Bearing Witness, .I've looked up to try to find out if the group are a Christian group. I'm not into Christian music, but if you listen to a lot of C>S>'s songs and put God in the place of where you think their singing about a girl , you'll see it. |

this is a religious song, listen again , it even says in the bible, about "...storing up treasures in heaven." I'm not a Christian nut ,but have an ear for religious music. listen to " bearing witness", and "storm". there's quite a few of there songs if you think about it , the singer never mentions a her or girl, put God into the spot and listen again. |
