This song hits way to close to home for me. few years back my girlfriend killed herself and that whole week leading up to it i was trying to find the words to tell her i loved her. I never got to, and i feel like if I just had been able to do it without being scared of what she would say she'd still be alive. Thats how i see this song, as my flash back to those days so long ago. |

This is My Favorite Finger Eleven song and my 2nd favorite song of all time.
I relate 100% to this song and i feel its about looking back on the past and on all your dreams of living happily but knowing your destined for hurt, pain, and sorrow. You're scared to let others in cause you don't want to drag them down with you but in the end your too scared to be alone and you'll always beg them back. Only to wish your dreams were reality where everything is simple but you know you always wake up. |

How i interpret this song is, well few years back my girlfriend killed herself and i still torture myself to this day about all the coulda shoulda woulda's so the song speaks to me as sort of a "forgive her don't beat yourself up over it, dont hurt yourself in the end you're not free of the guilt and pain just learn to deal and move on" |

I truly love this song it's so beautiful but heartfelt and deep.
I believe this song is about using drugs to forget about pain and only caring about spending his time on earth with his two loves: Drugs and the woman he mentions.
I suppose if you looked at it deeper you could say that the woman referenced is the drug itself as well. |
