I wouldn't go for such a literal interpretation of the lyrics of the female voice...it resonated in my case because I feel that a part of her is trying to tell me that she still needs me and that I should still have faith. |

My soulmate broke up with me two weeks ago. We still love each other but have been frustrated by so many things getting in the way and by discussions arising from the nothingness that arises when your ideals are so much greater than reality, that made me insecure and controlling and her passive and confused. Despite that, our relationship was amazing and there is so much about it that we miss. We still love one another and I believe she wants to get back together with me but doesn't know how to do that while asserting her independence and dignity. For the last two weeks, we've been having some emotional discussions but mainly just random chit-chat. I've been trying to get her to come back to me but have accepted that I'll just have to go with the way things turn out.
This songs describes my current situation exactly.
