Wesley Willis – Fuck You Lyrics | 13 years ago |
SUCK MY DAMN DICK, ASSHOLE! FUCK YOUR CRUMMY-ASS CHURCH! |
Wesley Willis – Rock 'n Roll McDonalds Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This has to be right up there with Thunder Road, Stairway to Heaven, Baba O'Riley and all other defining gems of rock and roll. |

The Wallflowers – Nearly Beloved Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This is also my favorite song on Rebel, Sweetheart (which says a great deal, as this is a superb album.) I think that all these dreams are connected somehow - or that they share a common subject. Perhaps the "Nearly Beloved". |
Hootie & the Blowfish – Space Lyrics | 14 years ago |
No hidden meaning here. It's the end of a relationship. |
Bruce Springsteen – Iceman Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think this is a reflection from the point of view of a man who has just lost everything in his life that meant something to him. (possibly all these things were invested in a single person who was lost) and he's looking for something, anything to give him a desire to feel again. Now he feels nothing. His heart is cold. He is the Iceman. |

John Mellencamp – Hurts So Good Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i thinks it is more emotionally based, but i can't say that the dirty stuff never entered my mind. |
Neil Young – The Restless Consumer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Don't need no side effects like diarrhea or sexual death" Also, what is "sexual death"? |
Neil Young – The Restless Consumer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
One of the greatest songs he's released recently. Gotta love the guitar at the beginning and then diving right into the lyrical fray. |
Neil Young – Lookin' for a Leader Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Maybe its Obama" = Prophesy. Good call Neil. |

Bruce Springsteen – Kingdom of Days Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is essentially a tribute to the timelessness of love. Good song, very sentimental. |
Bruce Springsteen – Working on a Dream Lyrics | 15 years ago |
A truly epic song of hope and optimism. |
The Wallflowers – Some Flowers Bloom Dead Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Some Flowers Bloom Dead is brilliant in so many ways, a crown jewel of a great album. Breach gets bashed a lot, but I really feel that it was a trulygreat work. In Hand Me Down, Jakob finally writes about his father. Sleepwalker is possibly my favorite Wallflowers song of all. I've Been Delivered is also very well written. Great song about a touchy subject. The album closes with the transition from the angst of Murder 101 to the calming, sentimental Birdcage/Babybird. I think Breach is sickeningly underrated |
The Wallflowers – Babybird Lyrics | 15 years ago |
A great closing song to Breach. I personally loved Breach. |
The Wallflowers – The Beautiful Side of Somewhere Lyrics | 15 years ago |
except replace 8th grade with high school. |

agreed. |
The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same" Back to this line - i think it's saying that while on the surface he's no different than he ever was before, these events have hit him so hard he'll never be able to recover from them fully. He's not the same. |
The Wallflowers – One Headlight Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same" Most have us have been able to identify with this line at some point. |
The Wallflowers – Three Marlenas Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Building off of what you said, if not with money, how does a prostitue pay the rent? ;] |
The Wallflowers – All Things New Again Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Stating over. Starting clean. This could be the theme song for me here lately. |
The Wallflowers – Some Flowers Bloom Dead Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The verses in this song are so ingeniously written. It all feels so real when I think back to the aftermath of failed relationships. As has been said above, this is the archetypal breakup song. |
