Jars of Clay – Work Lyrics | 2 years ago |
This song is quite simply from the perspective of someone on the brink- the very brink- of giving up in every sense of the term. |

The lyric should be: Intent obsolescence- different meaning altogether. See below. This song is about someone who was used for the purpose of a temporary, selfish encounter. I take it as a fling, but the one being used had deeper feelings- yet knew they would be discarded. |

Hi there, Mr. Runner. Clearly you did not comprehend my lighthearted disclaimer directed at my own actions. You see, I too was guilty of temporarily redirecting the purpose of the website. Alas, it's hard to interpret one's vocal inflection over the internet. Actually, my voice is slightly on the gruffier, movie trailer guy side. I'm sorry to tell you this, but your retort itself was actually taken as pompous and aristocratic. My real question is, did you really logon to this site specifically talk about a video game, or to see how other people interpret lyrics? I'm just sayin'. If you, too, were smiling when replying, then I guess we're even. I shant explain any more, Master Runner. I have a cricket match to attend shortly. (Spoken in a pompous, aristocratic English accent, with humor attached- as before.) |

This isn't a site for gamers. I think the sitename is songmeanings. This also is not a site for people like me to tell others what not to write about. Fremont nailed it. Let's move on. |

But I was wrong. Ignore my last comment. Thank you. |
Lou Reed – Sweet Jane (Live) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
But I was wrong. YouTube audio sucks. |
The Cowboy Junkies – Sweet Jane Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I believe the lyric is Heavenly white roses Seem to aspire to me When you smile But that's just me. |

I believe the lyric is Heavenly white roses Seem to aspire to me When you smile I'll hit up the Cowboy Junkies version too. |
Nirvana – I Hate Myself and Want to Die Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Okay, in the second verse the lyric should be- "Think about some capsules of horse pills" The song really isn't about anything in particular. There are references to someone being sick. There's a quote from a "Deep Thoughts" skit from SNL. The chorus came from God knows where. And that's that. Kurt threw lyrics together from various places and what fit together, he went with. Such is the case for the majority of Nirvana's songs. He said himself that there USUALLY is no meaning behind any of his songs. Although- some songs have deep, personal meaning. THIS song does not have any philosophical lesson to be learned. Kurt was very sarcastic and had a deep fascination with biology. These overtones can be found throughout their entire catalogue. Please people: enjoy his randomness and freedom. Don't overanalyze everything to the point that it becomes boring and childish. I don't think he would have wanted that. Oh, to me this song is about three minutes long. Three minutes of great talent from all three musicians. |
