| The Cowboy Junkies – To live is to fly Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Such a gorgeous song...I heard it once at a funeral, damn powerful in that setting. Seems to be about appreciating what you have, while at the same time trying to get the most out of life. Probably too simplistic of an interpetation. | |
| Robert Plant And Alison Krauss – Killing The Blues Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is such an amazing song...I wish I had the first clue what it meant. On the surface, seems like a relationship issue, but could the love he is trying to leave be drugs? | |
| The Beach Boys – Don't Worry Baby Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Possibly the most beautiful song ever written/performed. Expresses such a broad set of emotions with such few words. | |
| Robert Plant And Alison Krauss – Please Read The Letter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It is so damn hard to let go of love....this song expresses those feeling so well. The Plant/Krauss version is so brialliant. | |
| Ben Folds – Still Fighting It Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Every dad can relate to this song... "You're so much like me...I'm sorry" Probably the single greatest line ever written about being a father. Ben, you are a genius. |

| Bruce Springsteen – One Step Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |

One of the subtly saddest songs ever written. I think every guy out there can relate to these feelings of failure, regret and dissapointment. When I look at myself I don't see The man I wanted to be Somewhere along the line I slipped off track Those lines cut right through me... But, then the last verse, he picks up a stranger in a bar, AND while sleeping in bed next to her dreams of his wife and what they could, or should, have had.....WOW. Bruce is simply a master. BTW, fordtrucker, your entry here is amazingly touching. |
