Killing The Blues Lyrics

Leaves were falling, just like embers,
In colors red and gold, they set us on fire
Burning just like a moonbeam in our eyes

Chorus:
Somebody said they saw me, swinging the world by the tail
Bouncing over a white cloud, killing the blues

Now I'm guilty of something
I hope you never do
Because there is nothing
Sadder than losing yourself in love

[Chorus]

Now you ask me just to leave you
To go out on my own
And get what I need to
You want me to find what I've already had

[Chorus x2]

This is such an amazing song...I wish I had the first clue what it meant. On the surface, seems like a relationship issue, but could the love he is trying to leave be drugs?

I know what this song is. He allowed himself to fall completely in love and then she ends it without warning. Gives him the always wonderful line "You will find love" or someone will make you very happy or you will be great for someone, one variation of the typical line. He is left standing there wondering how he can find what he already had with her.

@donovanking88 yes, this is it! Left on the road.
