Underworld – Born Slippy Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's 'on your telephone line to god and everything...' rather than on your telephone line and god...' certainly is in the live version...and being on 'the great white telephone to god' is when you've got your head halfway round the u-bend vommin up all you've drunk that night - so fits with the whole being fucked up drunk thing... but maybe it is a bit of a stretch...

Karl has been known to call himself dogman - so dogboy might well be him too and mega-mega white thing is also Karl talking about himself - rather than any drug thing... if rumours are to be believed neither Karl or Rick had tried E/MDMA at the time of writing the song...

Underworld – King Of Snake Lyrics 17 years ago
Karl Hyde is dogman (not the only time he's called himself this) and the king of snake was the garment manufactoring king of osaka - who took Karl out to watch the snake fights - which the king describes at the end of the song. probably the most lyrical literal song Underworld have recorded...

Blur – Trimm Trabb Lyrics 17 years ago
Trimm Trabb is about Damon's first pair of flash trainers, that he got when he was at school.
He told the crowd this at Reading 1999 - he might have been lying.
He wanted (if memory serves) to have cool trainers 'like the flash boys' had.
The can't go back bit is about, once being fashionable, having to maintain the whole fashion thing... but, yeah, the whole break-up thing real colours the song...
