From the words of the band, the song is about the gulf-war and how people are being sent to fight each other, many of whom probably didn't know who they were fighting for or against anyway. (It can't be about the California Recall because the band's Australian!) Umm, yea i can see how it could be about that, but really did the band say that, because the video clip, well it kind off under pins that thought, I think its a way bigger idea then just resrtricted to one, i think the songs directed about all the issues in the world, greed, hunger, corruption and stupidity in government, vioelence, war i think the songs on a bigger scale. |

I think its do with how much power authority have and how they can manipulate the public in oder to saving them self. Reference to the song, "He was public enemy number one", "And the police report said We had no choice left We did what we were forced to do". The authorities (police) have the power to take someones life, without the voice of anyone else. "Well he fit the profile There'll be no trial There is nothing left to say So what if he's innocent" The authorities did not care what had to be said, they just matched a person to the suspect and that was all that needed to be done, according to them, so i also feel the song is saying what has happened to peoples rights ? eg, the rights to have your say, the rights to a fair trial. |

| This song aint just about leaving celebrities alone, its about how simple minded people are and how were feeding the journalists by buying their articles and "useless information. Its about how we care more about whats going on with celebrities and whats written in the magazines then whats going on in the world "and you read about it and You cant sleep with out the pages of the magazine". Its all about how most of what we read in these magazines and articles are false facts just to try and make more money andf sell more articles, "dont believe in all you read". | |
