For years, I loved this song as just a song. Only now, currently going through heartbreak, does this song consume my every thought and do I feel a connection with it. I gave her everything I could for nearly 5 years, and I know there's no going back now because she's with someone else now as far as I know. As much as I want to let go, I can't, because I'm still in love with her even if she isn't with me. I constantly question what I could've done differently. I miss her. |

I have no clue why some people get caught up in what the members of Paramore's religious views are. Personally, I'm an Atheist and couldn't care about such things as the lyrics of each and every song that Paramore have done or another artist are open to interpretation. At the end of the day, Paramore are amazingly talented musicians and I love their music. This song (the album and extended version) is my favourite Paramore song with "My Heart" being second. I wish for them to grow and grow as I can appreciate them for the artists and musicians they are (being a musician myself), bring us great music for many more years to come and I also agree with ohgloryx's comment. Talking about this version in particular, I love the extended ending hearing the passion in Hayley's vocals along with the drums and guitars...the first time I heard it I thought "wow, this is amazing in epic proportions" and I can't stop listening to it as well as playing along to it on guitar. |

This song came along after my grandpa who was the father in my life died of cancer and all the feelings, all the thoughts that were going through my mind and felt. I was 11 at the time and started to go through a depression that would last 9 years, blaming myself for things, wishing that I could've done something and that I still missed him, I and next month as of now (18/06/08) will be the 6th July will be the 10 year anniversary. I felt this song related to me in that as I saw it, it was a song about some one who went through something in their life which will stay with them no matter how much they try to forget or shut it out. "These wounds, they will not heal" Kind of reminds me that the pain I went through after will always stay there, I had to move on and get on with my life whilst still remembering what one great man taught me and made me the man I am today, one which my fiancé fell in love with. It was also a song I listened to a lot to get through quitting smoking in a way, reminded me of the reasons why I was doing it, who I was doing it for and what was more important. And most of all, it's the song that showed me how awesome these guys are and were until "Minutes to midnight" which I loath. I also like the version off the album "Reanimation" a little bit more than this - the original LP version. |

I think this is a perfect song to just chill out to in the house and play full blast whilst singing along to or at a club. |
