This is my favorite verse just because it reminds me of so much of what I have gone through in the last couple of months...I just got out of a really ugly relationship with this girl who I love more then anything but it just didn't work out and 2010 had just been an overall rough year but around new years I started talking to this girl who seemed to really be the type of girl that I needed and she could help me "fix it" which i see as my mental health after a bad year but it would be a lot of work "clean it up all day" or we could just fly away together and start a new life and forget everything. |

The way I see this song is that he is in love with a girl but he has Seasonal Affective Disorder...where he gets really depressed during the winter and he just can't take it and no matter how much he loves this girl he just can't be happy unless he leaves and finds better weather. I know its a stupid interpretation but its kind of what im going through...I really like this girl that I'm with but as soon as I graduate I am leaving for the Keys because these Michigan winters just kill me and its gonna be tough to leave her but I just cant live here anymore. |

I know this is not what the song is actually about but this is how i relate to it. I see it as a guy and a girl who are bestfriends and have been for a very long time and it worked great but the girl fell in love with the guy somewhere along the way but the guy doesnt feel the same way "And I know I could break her concentration But it don't feel right" but he loves her as a friend more than anything so he feels awful for what shes going through and would do anything to just have it how it used to be.
Thats pretty much my story. Except reverse the guy and girl. |

I don't necessarily think this is right but this is how it relates to me I suppose. I really feel like its just about when the world is just throwing a little bit too much at you and you look to love to help you get through it and its not always there. |

I know people on here tend to hate on people who always relate songs to a relationship but the situation I'm in really seems to fit the song. So here is what I get from the song...I think the song is about a girl and a guy who are really good friends and it works really well for them. (Being here is so easy to do) But at the same time they seem to be looking for something more because they both love each other but are afraid it will ruin what they have together and eventually it just comes down to the guy saying "if you want to" Implying that he's willing to try to make something more work if she is. |
