Before I heard the songwriter (his name eludes me) explain it I thought it was about trying some kind of drug - the drug being "the reaper". "We'll be able to fly" and all that. I like it better as a lovesong between two people though, lovesongs dedicated to drugs are kind of a drag. |

The lyrics arent pretentious though they depict a somewhat pretentious person, the goth girl. And goth girls are often clichés. I wave known many goth girls in my days and most of them have been very pretentious. They don't grasp the concept of "less is more". |

I get a very strong Kate bush vibe from this song. And I think it is intentional. "Hounds of law" sounds a lot like "Hounds of Love". Her singing even sounds alot like Kate bush, an obvious flirt with her :) |

shadowolf19: If I humour the christians for a bit and admit their God created this world and everything in it, including humans I still come to the conclusion that I must blame God. God has created the harsch environment we are forced - we are not here by choice - so survive in. It is astonishing for me that you actually blame innocent people for not taking responsibility when their lives get turned up side down. Take the earthquake in China last week for example. God created the world which in turn made the earthquake which killed over 10.000 people. It's a slap in their face to tell them that they don't take enough responsibility! God created the rules and therefore should be held responsible. "The lord helps people who help themselves" is just crap made up to explain why God hasn't got the guts to show his/her face. "Well, maybe you haven't helped yourself enough. That's probably why you got cancer." If there is a God, blame God for all the shit in our world, don't put that piece of shit upon a pedistal to praise. Curse his/her name and hope he/she realizes that it is time to cut humanity some slack. We have much more right to be in heaven than God has, for we aren't responsible for every innocent death in this world. |
