Once again, beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. I think it's simply about not losing people (even though they're gone because things change and people you love need to leave) by cherishing their memories, even though one suffers from it. Or, put differently, the concept of nothing is lost and still goes on forever because it has took place in the past and somehow, it still continues to exist thanks to you memory, blabla. I actually identify a lot to this song, the feeling of loss, the importance of dreams, memories, the fact that we need so much to hold on to them...oh well, life's hard. |

Thanks a lot for the person who put those lyrics! I've been waiting for them for so long... Anyway, 'Lalita' is definitely my favourite track on this album, I've been loving this song for its rhythms, melodie, energy...and I love it even more now that I know its lyrics... I think it's about drinking some shots of vodka (or tequilla, whatever) ('We've got one more to go, and the last one nearly killed me' + 'I heard the bottle break') and the rest is about their 'drunk-state of mind' I take it... Anyway, GREAT SONG, definitely one of the best of 2009. |

| I think it's about coming back to your hometown, or to the place you used to spend holiday and you see that everything has changed, people are gone in other places, others are dead and you are no longer a person but a shadow ('hometown ghosts') - you remember your friends and how you were always thinking you'd never go seperate ways...so the only thing to do is to drink for all those best years that are in the past...great songs! I have many in commons with the lyrics actually | |

| I love this song, this is my favorite one...and I find the lyrics beautiful. This song is quite positive as it tells that we always have to look at the bright side of live...even if we lose our lover. But on the other hand, there is something really tragic in it...wel it's Devotchka and this is always that way I guess ^^ | |
