If you don't like Trent or his work then don't waste your time browsing through his lyrics. This song is so amazing, and I especially love the "smashed up my sanity" etc part, and the way it's sung. |

| This is an amazing song, and has meant so much to me. I guess I would interpret the lyrics as looking at the world, and it falling apart, and all the bad things about the world, and you could interpret a lot of things I'd say, from global warming and the ocean references to the religious, political sides of things. Maybe it's odd but whenever I hear the "this one world vision... ... compromise" part, I think of political correctness, and people having to change so everyone is accepting, then comes the irony that at the same time people are just hating other people regardless. It's all pretty bleak, and when I listen to the song, the chorus is comforting, and the last line of the chorus is some sort of hope, like maybe all this wont matter. | |
