Stars – Window Bird Lyrics 6 years ago
He won't commit to a real relationship with her, and even though it's making her miserable, she keeps taking him back because she loves him.

The Black Heart Procession – Your Cave Lyrics 6 years ago
This relationship has not only run its course, and the only thing keeping the singer with his lover is the sex ("Run around in your cave", geddit?). But that distraction's not enough anymore, and he's determined to end things for good, in spite of the lover's protests ("Everything you say you already said before").

Polaris – Everywhere Lyrics 9 years ago
It's 99 percent sure supposed to me "Scent's around of you", "scent's around in me", and "I play a game that you're not there", but when I tried to edit the lyrics, it didn't take.

These lyrics were written (and appear in the liner notes) but not sung.

Splendora – Rattle Lyrics 10 years ago
In order to keep a positive image, the subject of the song refuses to make their (somehow scandalous) (lesbian?) relationship with the singer public, and has likely cut down on the time they spend together.

This leads the singer to compare herself an old museum, rarely visited in spite of its wonders, yet she is still inviting to her lover.

Splendora – It's Great Lyrics 10 years ago
Seems to be about sex, possibly between a couple of teenagers. No, really.

He's surprised when she initiates it, as she cried last time, apparently due to how much she enjoyed it.

The corner store's closed (I guess they were going to pick up condoms), but they decide to have sex anyway, in spite of being aware of the danger, pulled by the rip tide of their emotions.

Polaris – Ivy Boy Lyrics 16 years ago
That last line should be:

"Ivy boy, he couldn't be trusted
even his face was an alias
Tried to be like Monte Hall
Living like a rubber ball
Found himself in Montreal
Ivy couldn't deal at all"

To me, the song is about a self-righteous woman, who thinks highly of her supposed morals and strong character, while she secretly has many, many affairs, possibly disguising herself in order to do so.

Then she genuinely falls in love with a guy, who turns out to be a philanderer and her life utterly falls apart when he leaves her.
