B.B. King – Rock Me Baby Lyrics

A song performed by many, many blues artists written in 1965. The song's lyrics remind me of "Wagon Wheel" by Old Crow Medicine Show, which was created from a Bob Dylan outtake from a 1973 western movie. I wonder if there's any connection, or if this is just coincidental. |

This is a great song, but... if I listen to it at night, it scares the fucking shit out of me. It makes me think of someone who's trapped in his own head... |

Incomplete lyrics ;) If you listen to the WHOLE track, four minutes after "I am", a child's voice says, "there's room for all God's creatures right next to the mashed potatoes" |

Pain of Salvation – Iter Impius Lyrics

Mr. Money had himself cryogenically frozen until he could be made immortal. Since he has all the wealth and power, once he was made immortal he would essentially be God. Unfortunately, he wakes up finding that man has destroyed himself.
As he says, however, he refuses to die, saying that he would rather rule the destroyed world than 'cross the line'. |

Pain of Salvation – America Lyrics

He thinks we've fucked up America, but in the same way we fucked up America, he knows we can fix it and make it better than ever. In the end, I wouldn't call this a necessarily anti-American song, as he has faith that there are good Americans out there who want to fix their nation (fourth verse from the bottom).
It's kind of catchy, ironically. |

Pain of Salvation – Idiocracy Lyrics

Daniel Gildenlöw is the Noam Chomsky of prog metal. Such a badass song. The verses are fairly straightforward, but I wonder what the words he says during the first half of the song mean. It might just be filler, but that doesn't seem like something Pain of Salvation would do. |
